LOGS has again been able to provide each child enrolled in preschool and elementary at MGA and NHE with a new book – selected and wrapped just for them. We would like to thank the many community sponsors and partners who helped make the Christmas Gift of Literacy a success for another year: to the District of New Hazelton, Hagwilget Village Council, Bulkley Valley Credit Union, the Village of Hazelton, and the Raise-a-Reader fund from Decoda Literacy for the funds to purchase new books; to the Hazleton Public Library for printing the bookmarks; to the Gitanmaax Family Services/Storytellers’ women’s drop-in group – and other volunteers – for wrapping the books; and to the Book Bus team for delivering.
