Event: The Bulkley Valley Concert Association is presenting Duo Cordelia –“Visions From the Other Side”.

When & Where: October 26th in Smithers, at the Della Herman Theatre. Doors open at 7pm. Show starts at 7:30.

Event Description: This ensemble, while very active on the Canadian classical music scene, is so much more. Duo Cordelia consists of violinist and composer Vanessa Marcoux and pianist Marie-Christine Poirier. The two talented musicians take their audience on an innovative musical adventure, redefining the classical concert experience by incorporating improvisation, a diverse repertoire from the 20th and 21st centuries, arrangements of traditional melodies, and original compositions by Marcoux.

This rich combination of classical repertoire and lesser-known are used to draw bridges between musical universes that would otherwise be separate. The result is a touching and unique concert experience.
